.22 Cal Starter Pistol Blanks - 100 Per Tub | Gundog Training Ammunition
Details
Most people don't think twice about blanks. Buy a box, load up, crack on. And most of the time, that's fine - until it isn't.
I've seen misfires mid-session. Blanks that leave residue that gums up a pistol after a few uses. Cheap ones that don't give a clean, consistent crack - and a confused dog that's not sure if it heard anything at all.
That's not what these are.
These are .22 cal short blanks. Six millimetre. A hundred per tub. They work in revolver-type and magazine-type blank firing pistols - clean ignition, consistent report, every single time. That consistency matters more than most people realise. You're conditioning a dog to respond to a sound. If that sound varies, the response varies. Simple as that.
I use blanks in training for one reason: to introduce gunshot sound gradually, correctly, and without bother. A dog that's been properly introduced to the gun is steady. A dog that wasn't - you'll know. And you'll wish you'd done it right the first time.
A hundred blanks per tub. That's a decent run of sessions before you're back here reordering.
