This is a revolver-style blank firer that does exactly what it needs to do. Fires standard .22 short and long blank cartridges, produces a clear and consistent report, and fits in a jacket pocket or training vest without any bother. That's the job, and it does it reliably.

Compact, lightweight, simple to operate. There's nothing complicated about it, which is the point. When you're timing a sound cue around a dog's behaviour, the last thing you want is a tool that demands attention. This one doesn't.

The report is consistent session to session - same sound, same level, every time. That matters for progressive sound introduction work. Dogs build associations with repeatable cues. Variable output doesn't help that process.

Important: this fires .22 short and long pistol blanks only. It is not compatible with .22 dummy launcher blanks - those are a different cartridge for a different tool. Ear protection must be worn during use.
