A spaniel that's just come out of a retrieve is not a dog that drinks carefully. She's hot, she's worked hard, and she wants water - fast. Hand her an open bowl in the back of a vehicle and half of it ends up on the seat.

How the floating disc works

There's a disc that sits on the surface of the water. Your dog pushes it down to drink - water comes up around the edges in a controlled amount, the disc drops back, and the bowl stays stable. On a moving vehicle, over bumpy ground, the water doesn't slosh. Doesn't spill. Doesn't go everywhere.

It also slows the dog down. A dog that's been working hard will try to gulp. The disc naturally controls the flow so she drinks at a pace that's actually better for her - less air, less risk of choking or a gassy stomach afterwards.
