This is the Jack Pyke Ladies Countryman Shirt with the Kirkbourne Spaniels logo embroidered on the left chest pocket. Same shirt the Jack Pyke range is known for - and one we were happy to put our name on.

The fabric is 60/40 CVC - that's 60% cotton and 40% polyester, which means it breathes and feels like cotton all day but goes in the machine and comes out ready to wear. No ironing required for a training session at half seven on a Sunday morning. Worth knowing.

Semi-fitted cut gives it its shape without being restrictive. You're working a dog, walking ground, crouching down - it moves with you rather than pulling across the back or riding up when you raise your arm. The adjustable cuffs let you roll the sleeves back and fasten them off properly. The cuff vent means you can get some air in on a warmer day without the whole sleeve coming undone.

Large brown check - warm, classic country pattern that sits well with wax, olive, and everything else already in a shooting wardrobe. Practical enough for a training session, smart enough for a day on the peg.
