A wet dog in the back of a cold car is nobody's idea of a good finish.

You've done the session. The dog's worked hard, done everything asked, and now it's soaked through. You've got the towel you always forget works about as well as good intentions. Meanwhile the dog shivers, the car steams up, and by the time you're home it's still not properly dry.

There's a better way. And Kirkbourne's made it.

Why these coats work differently

It's not just about keeping the rain off. These coats are lined with quality Italian microfibre towelling - the same principle as a proper drying towel, but shaped to your dog and held in contact with the fur where it matters most.

That contact is everything. The lining draws moisture directly from the coat. As the water is absorbed, your dog warms up faster. The faster they warm up, the quicker the evaporation. The quicker the evaporation, the sooner your dog is dry, comfortable, and not shivering against your leg.

A towel rub does some of it. This does the rest - hands free, while you pack up, debrief, or drive home.

The Three Styles

The Duke - The ultimate coverage

The top of the range. Polo neck, underbelly strap, and a rear shaping that wraps around the back of the dog for full-body coverage. If your dog runs hard, gets properly drenched, and you want the best possible drying coat on the market - this is it. The polo neck and rear fastening keep the coat exactly where it should be, no matter how much the dog moves.

The Maya - Mid-level coverage

Slips over the head and fastens with an underbelly strap that runs between the front legs and wraps around the waist. Dries and warms the chest area effectively. A serious coat for a handler who wants proper performance without the full coverage of the Duke.

The Storm - Classic shape, simple fit

A velcro fastening at neck and waist - no slipping over the head. If your dog isn't keen on coats going on that way, the Storm is the answer. Entry level in price, not in quality. Still lined with the same Italian microfibre. Still does the job properly.

Sizing - measure your dog

The breed guide in the image above is a suggestion. Every dog is different. Always measure yours.

Labradors, HPRs, and any breed with a larger rib cage: the large and wide, or large and deep options are recommended.
