100% brushed cotton heavy flannel - noticeably heavier than the polycotton blends most country shirts are made from these days. It's warmer from the first wear and softens further with use rather than thinning out. The kind of shirt that's still in rotation three seasons later.

The button-down collar sits flat whether you've got a jacket collar over it or not. No curling at the tips by mid-morning. Button-adjustable cuffs mean you can roll them back and fasten them off while you're working - they stay where you put them. Two chest pockets, buttoned, for the things that need to be on you rather than in a bag.

Green check - olive and khaki tones that disappear into the countryside and sit comfortably with almost everything already in a shooting wardrobe. The most practical colour in the range. Wears equally well on the peg and off it without looking like it's trying to be either.
