End of a drive. Dog comes out of the cover absolutely drenched. You've got twenty minutes before the next one. You need her dry, warm, and ready to go - not shivering in the back of the pickup, losing the heat she's going to need.
This is the coat for that moment.
Two jobs. One coat.
Most drying coats do one thing well. The towelling ones pull moisture out but leave the dog cold if there's wind. The fleece ones keep them warm but don't do much about the wet. On a proper shooting day in November, neither one is quite right.
This one does both. The inner microfibre layer wicks moisture away from the coat as soon as it goes on. The fully waterproof outer shell holds the heat in and keeps any rain, wind or sleet from undoing the work the lining is doing. Dog goes in wet. Dog comes out warm and dry. That's the job.
Built for working dogs, fits like it should
It covers from chest to tail - not just the back, the whole body. Strong Velcro girth and chest straps hold it in place without it slipping, twisting or needing constant adjustment. Freedom of movement is still there - this isn't a restrictive wrap. It's a coat a working dog can sit comfortably in for the drive between pegs.
Machine washable. Which, if you've got working spaniels, you'll know matters.
Not just for shoot days
It's what goes on after a hard session at Kirkbourne too. Cold water retrieve work, a wet Wednesday evening, hydrotherapy - any time a dog needs to come down in temperature safely and dry out without getting chilled. The waterproof outer makes it just as useful in the rain on the way back to the car as it does in the back of a vehicle.

Sizing
Measure your dog from between the shoulder blades to the base of the tail. Use the measurement, not the breed - a big-framed Springer and a lighter one can be very different.
